Letting her go might be the best choice I've taken
Not for myself, but for her and this love forsaken
Looking back, she came to me like the summer night
Then disappears at the breaking dawn with twilight

Our relationship is like Newton's third law of motion
Every action that we take creates equivalent reaction
It's not a question of whether the end justifies the mean
But how we will face the consequence that remains unseen

We are like magnets that are made up of the same pole
The closer we want to be together, the stronger it pull
And send us both apart going each opposite direction
Where there is nothing but life that's full of questions

If fate is a question that the almighty has given
And destiny is this answer we choose to entertain
Then I pray to him sincerely just this one instance
I hope in the next life, we take every second chances

Over a cup of coffee or green tea
Under a beautiful old Ginkgo tree

Damn girl, you really make me weak
Even a glance from you makes me freak
Sorry for this shameful behaviour
Suddenly I lost words to utter

After few days of seeking you
Comes a day, I finally found you
And I know just one smile from you
Brings death that's long overdue

Right in this single instance
Even for the briefest of chance
Reaper can have my life, exchange my time
And grant this wish with her lips on mine

"Dreams and Memories"

I'm at a point of my life where what was once clear becomes clouded
Promises has been made a couple of times and poems has been created
We're separated, back together, broken and found each other again
I'm now living with nothing in front of me, no future, goal or aim
I'm too complacent, thinking I've got nothing to lose, nothing to gain
Maybe I'm just a fool, thinking I'll have her back if I lost her again

My feelings and desires are in mixed, urge and wishes are distorted
Comparing her to everyone else, even to fictional characters I created
Thinking of a perfect love story and one perfect lady with sense
But I was wrong; I was only about physical instead of the essence
A part of me keeps reminding that what I have now is the best
It's not perfect, but it certainly is the best among the rest

A diamond in the middle of ugly sedimentary rocks and pebbles
I am stranded again, lost in this abyssal thoughts and ripples
With my heart and my mind fighting over what is right or wrong
So I badly want to go back to those old beautiful days so long
The day when I rode that bike at the corner of that market shop
That moment when my eyes met hers and the time has been stopped

I want to go back to that day when I met her at the school lobby
How my heart skips whenever my vision is locked with that lady
How with her smile and stares makes her the prettiest every time
I want to experience that feeling of raging emotion one more time
When her every text messages and calls were worth a million fortune
I want to stand on that night again with all the fireworks in motion

Experience her first awkward yet gentle hug, such a strange captivity
I want to replay our first date at the plaza during Sinulog festivity
And taste her smooth lips one more time in the middle of the sea
That was my first embarrassing and memorable kiss, such a reverie
Let me visit that day when we had our huge fight in the street side
When I turned my back away from her but she rushes to hold me tight

I want to see her crying as I comfort her when we were being separated
In that balcony, I'd like to make love with her just like first we did
That's the first time, followed by another, the next night and nights after
Let's fast forward to those days when we were inside the movie theatres
When we did nothing but locked our lips, paying no attention to others
Those nights too, when she slept over at my place are precious encounters

When watching movies, eating, hugging, kissing, sleeping naked at its best
In fact, that day I was hoping she'll always have trouble at home and rest
Rest with me and stay there like that in my place and by my side forever
I want to experience again the thrill of jealousy even if it hurts me after
In that way, it shows how much I care and how much we mean to each other
I love those days when she tagged me along during her friend's get together

Even those college days’ activities when I did nothing but wait for her
But what was most memorable to me is our first trip all alone together
In that beautiful and romantic cityscape with the cold midnight breeze
And what I wanted best of all those landmark of happiness and memories
Is when I hold her hand and look at her, just looking and watching over her
Hug her from the behind without any warning, touch her and gently kiss her

Then I realized, what I wanted all this time was acceptance of who I am
A mysterious, emotional guy with strange sexual drive, a simple minded lad
Who only dreams of a simple life, build a house of my own as I grow old
Perhaps have a couple of kids and a cheerful and loving wife to behold
Have enough money to spend for their future and our coming retirement
And maybe go on adventure together and travel the world for amusement

I am matured, too matured that I've been carefully planning everything
That's why for once; I'd like to go out of this comfort zone and spring
Spring without any direction, unprepared and simply going with the flow of time
But then am I too late for this at this stage of my life? Or do I still have time?

"Lightning Strikes"

Oh this rhythmic rain drops from the sky above
Is like pretty little glances from you my love
As I am here standing at the edge, listening
Thinking about what this cold weather may bring

Reaching a shadow of you with my hand extending
Waiting and hoping or maybe searching and finding
Mind is off to somewhere, a place unfamiliar
And then there was you, standing at the altar

 A beauty in white with tears falling in your eyes
As I walk slowly knees shaking along the aisle
What a perfect sight of a dream I have in mind
A beautiful ending of a song that's out of line

Then there was flicker, followed by great thunder
Lightning strikes, my heart's about to surrender
To this unprecedented desire that's been wondering
In my troubled mind that took over when sleeping

I look down with barefoot above the cemented ground
To my feet, the waters are racing and running down
Then I see a reflection of you dear from behind me
Hugging me, watching me with smile that drowns me

Like how quick you appear is as quickly you disappear
In a blink of an eye, reality let me taste despair
What can I do for a lady like you to have a connection?
When I'm even struggling to get your time and attention

But since I saw you, my days filled with your recollection
Girl tell me what to do, I’m getting crazy with this emotion
Despite that, I will still wait and hold on fate or destiny
Seeking for that single moment or even slightest opportunity

To be able to see you again, hold you and hug you gently
With your precious smile, delicate lips and eyes so lovely
Time is not on my favour, but one thing I always remember
Lightning never strikes twice the same place, yes, it never

"Find and Miss"

I have her but why am I lonely?
She was perfect but why it's empty?
Is it just me or we're the same?
Something's missing I can't explain

Do not find love, they said
Let love find you, I agreed
But then why I am longing?
When I should have everything?

Just when I finally understood
That love is something to behold
Not just a burst of emotion
But a hard and real decision

For her I gave up everything
And choose one that's uncertain
Of a narrow cloudy horizon
In this dark bizarre region

Maybe you're asking if I’m regretting?
Definitely not, for I am only wondering
But will I be able to find it at least?
Or was there really something I miss?

"Red String"

Enchanting, that's how it was for you and me
I was one of the many who dreams of thee
Looking back, ten years around the clock
In that narrow corridor, where our eyes locked

I was at the corner of that hallway, sitting
With my fragile heart rapidly beating
As you walk towards me wearing that smile
And with eyes that shines a million miles

We started with "Hi", "Hello" and love letters
Followed by words, "I love you" and "Take care"
And in that cold, dark new year's evening
Our story across the stars has been written

I can't believe how lucky I am to have you darling
That I always thought that I am just dreaming
Until you kissed my lips and took away my fear
Then every single doubts completely disappear

Our love story was more than Romeo and Juliet
Even that of Aladdin and Jasmine can't compete
Coz we live in our own perfect world
And dance at the rhythm of our own hearts

Like every story, a conflict maybe necessary
To test us both and challenges our maturity
At first we stood strong and held our ground
But eventually our world has crumbled down

When I lost you, a huge part of me was gone
Nights turned to days, hours turned to month
The bright world that we both created
Has turned into darkness and wasted

Time has passed and tides of time washes
Our past and those scattered memories
We are rebuilding from the mud and ashes
Trying to salve what little left of ourselves

But you know, God is one perfect artist
With red string of fate and destiny's twist
Our path found it's way back to each other
So we can celebrate a new chapter together

Yes, we are starting over but that doesn't matter
For this love goes beyond what's called forever
I'll stay by your side even for a lifetime
And hold you tight until the end of time
